Since coming out of retirement in late 2006 after the passing of his eldest son, Romain, Hubert Lignier has shown the same deft hand that made his Domaine famous in the 80's and 90's drawing comparisons to the famous Domaine Leroy: “This was a strong set of pure, sensual, quite intellectual wines that I feel deserve more recognition, exhibiting prudent use of oak, ample freshness and wonderful expression of their terroirs not dissimilar to Lalou Bize-Leroy”- Neal Martin The Wine Advocate.
