The rolling waters of the Blue River carve a jagged fissure through the heart of Breckenridge Colorado. These river banks were once rich in alluvial gold deposits, washed down by glacial ice from the mother lode high in the surrounding mountain range. Such easy pickings were an irresistible lure for the prospectors and gold miners of the late 1800′s. Now mining gold is thirsty work, and a might bit profitable we’ve been told, so naturally the saloon and draft house became a fairly common sight along main street. It’s a common fact that wherever you find men with a loose grip on their money there inevitably arrives an entourage of loafers, gamblers and fancy men looking to fleece the spoils of their labors. If all this conjures an image of the iconic wild west mining town well your not wrong, it was exactly that. Fortunes were found and lost.

“Gorgeous youthful swipe of fresh flavours of corn, spice and oak. Baked apple and ginger meld with sweet corn and clean oak. Surprisingly complex for its age with all the nose had coming out in full flavours and the fruit and vanilla really taking control. Lively, spicy, fruit filled finish.”
