Great White Burgundy....

Great Value -- something that is not said very often about White Burgundy.  Forget that this is a
Macon-Villages -- this is just GREAT WHITE BURGUNDY

2008 Guillemot-Michel Macon Villages "Quintaine"....$29.99
"Even better (than the 2009), no doubt because it’s had an extra year of bottle age to give it some complexity, is the 2008 Macon-Villages Quintaine. Coming from 45-year-old vines, this wine has an expressive nose of green apples, sweet, exotic melons, white peach and buttered citrus. Medium to full-bodied, with great acidity, loads of minerality, and a hint of tropical fruit in the mouth.  Two beautiful wines from this 17.3-acre estate in the Maconnais, owned by Marc and Pierre Guillemot, this estate has been biodynamically farmed for 20 years, which is impressive."
92/100 Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
