Value red time....

Argentine value...

2008 Notro Sangiovese Bonarda....$7.99
Named after the native flower of the same name that is often found growing in Andean mountain meadows in the southern spring, Notro. This wine is a great unoaked blend of 50% Sangioves and 50% Bonarda from 15-20 year old vines that were all hand harvested.

Tasting Notes: Offers aromas of ripe, red berries on the nose. Medium bodied on the palate, with soft, supple tannins and plenty of juicy, red fruit flavors.

Serve With: The perfect everyday accompaniment to pizza and pasta dishes, and Latin American favorites including empanadas and roasted pork shoulder.
Vineyards: Grapes were sourced from the Las Mercedes vineyard, located in Santa Rosa, in the eastern portion of Mendoza, at nearly 2,500 ft above sea level. Las Mercedes is characterized by low annual precipitation, excellent exposure to sunlight, and great differences in day/night temperatures - this yields wines of intense color, concentration and flavor.
