The Wines of Fran Kysela Part 1
We have been buying the wines of Fran Kysela for over a decade now. No other importer has so many great wines at great prices.
"Fran Kysela....began his career as the national sales manager for the import arm of Kermit Lynch's sprawling wine business. Subsequently, he worked briefly for another high quality importer, Weygandt-Metzler in Unionville, Pennsylvania. Inevitably, Kysela founded his own firm, dedicated to discovering high quality top estates in France and Italy. Kysela's offerings all tend to be extremely pure, ripe, fruity wines...in short, faithful reflections of their appellations....In a few short years Kysela has emerged as one of the finest palates and selectors of top wine, whether it be an inexpensive Muscadet or a top of the line Burgundy. "Made from 70 % Merlot, 20 % Cabernet Sauvignon,10 % Petit Verdot. The grapes are hand-harvested at full maturity. A deep purple color, powerful and elegant wine with a rich nose, fruit aromas. Well-balanced, powerful yet refined on the palate with present but mellow woody tannins, fruit flavors." -- Fran Kysela, importer
