2007 Rhones...

"Throughout the southern Rhône, 2007 is the greatest vintage I have tasted in my thirty years working in that region... Nearly every producer has attained largely unprecedented levels of quality. Moreover, the vintage is remarkably consistent from top to bottom."
-- Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate

2007 Milliere Chateauneuf du Pape
"The 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes reveals gorgeous aromas of spring flowers, crushed black cherries, ink, lavender, and spice. The wine is dense ruby/purple-hued, deep, and full-bodied with terrific concentration, a layered texture, and a stunningly long finish. It should drink beautifully young, yet age for 15 or more years. Young proprietors Aime and Michel Arnaud continue to turn out forward, complex, seductive Chateauneuf du Papes."

2007 Clos du Mont Olivet Chateauneuf du Pape
"The 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape is going to have plenty of admirers. Deep plum/ruby to the rim, medium to full-bodied, with a classic nose of garrigue, smoky meats, loads of kirsch and black currants, this broad, dense wine exhibits superb purity, enough acidity for focus and freshness, and a long, heady finish. This is one of the best traditional cuvees made in several years. One of the benchmark historical producers of Chateauneuf du Pape, Clos du Mont Olivet has long been the bastion of one segment of the Sabon family. The consistent results have always been classic Chateauneuf du Papes that stand the test of time. With the introduction of their Cuvee du Papet in 1989, they created an old-vine, luxury product that can push Chateauneuf du Pape to its maximum expression of Grenache and Provencal typicity."
