Exciting new wine releases!

Wow! Melville is on fire with these two new releases!

2007 Melville Viognier Verna's....$21.99
"The 2007 Viognier Verna’s Vineyard may be the finest example of this varietal I have tasted in California. Extraordinary minerality and precision, despite its enormous power, are what sets it apart from most blowsy, loosely constructed Viogniers. It possesses copious quantities of nectarine, mango, and orange blossom aromas as well as a hint of lychee nuts, but it is the wine’s well-delineated character that is so remarkable. Enjoy it over the next 1-2 years. From one of the Santa Rita Hills’ superb vineyard sites, the Melville wines are made by Greg Brewer."

2006 Melville Syrah Verna's...$19.99
"The 2006 Syrah Verna’s Vineyard exhibits sweet, peppery, black raspberry and black currant fruit along with more definition and minerality as well as the classic opulence and suppleness that makes Syrah such a captivating and endearing wine. It should evolve easily for 6-8 years. From one of the Santa Rita Hills’ superb vineyard sites, the Melville wines are made by Greg Brewer."

2005 Pesquera Ribera del Duero...$37.99
Always a personal favorite of mine. Pesquera has been producing amazing wines year after year for as long as I can remember. The 2005 was just released!

"The 2005 Tinto Pesquera Crianza is purple in color with an excellent bouquet of cedar, tobacco, spice box, and blackberry. On the palate it offers layers of ripe black fruits, mineral notes, outstanding depth, and a lengthy finish. It will evolve for several years and be at its best from 2012 to 2025."

2005 John Duval Eligo Shiraz...$92.99
John Duval is the man that made all the great Penfolds Grange over the past 20 years. He started his own winery and now is making stellar Shiraz under his own name. Do not miss this very limited wine!
“The wine is in the bottle, but hasn’t been named yet, hence the “Reserve” designation. Underneath a slightly smoky, toasty exterior lies an explosion of cherry, raspberry and black cherry fruit that’s wonderfully pure without being simple. The texture is creamy and lush without being unstructured or jammy, while the finish goes on and on. Drink now – 2020”.
